Proper Candle Care for Wood Wick Candles

To ensure candle burns properly, trim wick to 1/8” before each new burn. Cut off blackened wick tip before lighting. Wood wicks will not stay lit if the wick is not trimmed between each use. Always allow the candle to reach a full melt pool, where wax has melted to all edges and the melt pool is 1/4” deep. Do not burn longer than 4 hrs at a time. Never leave wick trimmings or matches in the melt pool. Burn on a heat resistant surface, do not leave unattended. Do not pick up or handle candles while burning. Extinguish with care, do not use water. Once the candle has less than 1/4" wax left, discontinue use.

The Type of Wax We Use

We spent years testing different waxes to find the best and safest results. Our coconut/soy wax that we use is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, cruelty free, phthalate free and comes from renewable sources. The entire blend utilizes only FDA approved wax. There is a small amount of food grade paraffin because it has been found to enhance the performance of the wax and give an excellent hot throw. Scientific studies have proven paraffin wax to burn just as cleanly as soy, beeswax, or palm. And the highly refined food-grade nature of our paraffin puts it in the natural category.

Why Wood Wicks?

Through our testing we have found that wood wicks provide a superior burn in our wax when compared to cotton wicks. Crackling wicks produce a relaxing ambiance similar to a fireplace and provide a beautiful horizontal flame shape. Our all-natural crackling wicks are sourced from FSC-certified mills.

Only Phthalate Free Fragrances Used

All of the fragrances used in our products are phthalate-free as well as free carcinogens and mutagens.
